The Serious Experience Urban Youth Programme
|
As a gap student on the ‘Serious Experience’ you will be working with a diverse inner city youth organisation who are passionate about seeing a generation changed for Christ.
Serious4God has partnered with an urban youth project called Krunch, which is based in the West Midlands, to offer an accredited gap year experience.
Krunch have been serving the local churches and schools for 10 years and have experience in a wide variety of youth work opportunities.
Why the ‘Serious Experience’?
Our Gap year programme will give you the opportunity to achieve a professional qualification in youth work through the NOCN course Engage. You will be able to use and develop your skills, gifts and talents to engage and encourage young people, and with a supportive team grow your confidence as a youth worker.
Become a part of a team and have the opportunity to be involved in some of these activities
• Schools work, lessons assemblies and Christian unions
• Mentoring, various forms of informal learning
• Supporting staff to deliver topic based workshops
• Church for the un-churched
• Discipleship teaching
• Weekly youth provisions
• Social action projects in Sandwell, Birmingham
